True craft defines the visual expression of the clients’ desire for a contemporary farmhouse by the beach. A French country influence is felt throughout the warm, cosy, textural home that celebrates the ways materials meet. Rather than sleek joins – why hide masterful construction? – we brought woodwork and stonemasonry techniques into the light. Look out for dovetail joins in solid timber and finger joins inside drawers. Joinery framing is layered, with small bronze pins marking the fixing points. Here, it’s not about being predictably clean-cut: the approach is considered, intentional and expressive.
